Creative Minds has only been producing music for little over a year, yet the SW London resident has already developed a unique musical style, that has succeeded in catching the attention of emcees, producers and music fans alike.
Originally starting out as a drum 'n bass emcee at the tender age of fourteen, Creative Minds found his way into the local hip-hop scene and instantly began making a name for himself as a talented young emcee and producer. Working closely with long-time 'sparing partner' Messi, the duo have climbed their way up through the ranks, gathering the lyrical skills necessary to become two of the hottest, most outspoken young rappers in the game today.
The 19 year olds most recent undertaking is his record label; Aim2Break, which he co-founded with his brother and Messi in 2007. He claims it is his "Huge passion for music," and hate for, "Jewel dripped pricks that think they're rappers," that has been the driving force behind its creation.
Creative Minds: "UK hip-hop has had a pretty shit selling record. That's why, no matter how good you are, no major record label is gonna sign you, simply because in the past, there is no evidence of a UK hip-hop record shifting what a major label would consider to be 'enough units'. It would be too much of a financial gamble for them. So if they weren't gonna sign me; 'Fuck it,' I'll sign my self. And that's why I started Aim2Break."
Some say the UK hip-hop scene has a very monotone sound, so with his hard-hitting beats and twisted, yet weirdly comical lyrics, Creative Minds has already begun cutting a niche for himself in the market and is definitely a name to look out for in the future.
